She is an outstanding violinist and music educator with a solid academic background and extensive experience in both musical performance and violin teaching. She holds a degree in Music Performance and Teaching with a specialization in Violin and Orchestral Conducting from the University of Talca, as well as a Master's degree in Music with an emphasis on Suzuki Pedagogy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Throughout her career, Daniela has played an active role in various orchestras and musical ensembles, highlighting her participation as Assistant Concertmaster and Head of Second Violins in the Regional Youth Symphony Orchestra of Maule. Her musical ability and passion for performance led her to collaborate with orchestras such as the Classical Orchestra of Maule and the Antofagasta Symphony Orchestra.
As an educator, Daniela has shared her knowledge and love for the violin with students of different levels and ages, from children to teenagers. Her training includes certification in Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE), demonstrating her commitment to effective and student-centered teaching methods. Her international experience and contributions to music and music education make her a valuable addition to our Toki School of Music and Arts, where she currently teaches violin. Elizabeth Sepúlveda Despousse
She is a talented violinist and music educator with a solid academic background and extensive experience in teaching cello. She holds a degree in Music Performance and Teaching with a specialization in Cello and Orchestral Conducting from the University of Talca, as well as certification in Suzuki Methodology through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, demonstrating her commitment to effective and student-centered teaching methods.
From her early years of musical study, Elizabeth has shown exceptional dedication to the cello, both in performance and teaching. Her teaching career spans a wide spectrum, from training young musicians in children's and youth orchestras to teaching in educational institutions and conservatories.

Mahani Teave
She is a Rapa Nui pianist whose extraordinary talent and dedication have led her to achieve international recognition in the world of classical music. Her passionate relationship with the piano began at the age of 9 on the island where she grew up, where the arrival of a piano sparked her love for this instrument. Impressed by her innate ability, Maestro Roberto Bravo encouraged her to continue her musical training on the mainland.
Mahani's journey took her to study at renowned musical institutions around the world, including the Universidad Austral de Chile, the Cleveland Institute of Music in the USA, and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, Germany, where she earned her doctorate in music. Her career as an international concert pianist has taken her to prestigious stages in countries around the world, highlighting her sensitivity and musical prowess.
Mahani Teave is a Steinway artist, and her debut album "Rapa Nui Odyssey" reached the top of the Billboard classical music chart in 2021, making her the only Chilean to achieve this recognition. Throughout her career, she has accumulated numerous awards and distinctions, including first place in the Claudio Arrau International Piano Competition and multiple recognitions as one of Chile's leading women.
In addition to her outstanding musical career, Mahani is also an active advocate for music and arts education. She founded the Music and Arts School in Rapa Nui alongside the NGO Toki, with the aim of providing opportunities for young people on the island. Her impact on the community and her commitment to music were captured in the autobiographical documentary "Song of Rapa Nui," which was nominated for an Emmy in 2021. Mahani Teave's story is a testament to perseverance, passion, and dedication in the world of music and education.
Valeria Prado
She is a pianist whose commitment to music has marked a distinguished and diverse career. From her early steps in La Serena, Chile, under the guidance of Professor Olga Jaramillo, Valeria demonstrated exceptional talent by winning first place in the International Competition "Claudio Arrau" in Quilpué. Her dedication and musical excellence were reflected in numerous recitals and the recording of a CD with Debussy's 24 Preludes, funded by the University of La Serena.
Throughout her career, Valeria has achieved significant accomplishments, including second place in the "Claudio Arrau" competition and in the Chamber Music competition organized by the Foundation of Youth and Children's Orchestras of Chile. Her versatility shines through as she serves as a piano accompanist for the Chamber Choir of the University of La Serena and as a member of the contemporary music group "Taller de Lejos," touring the country with concert performances.
As a piano teacher at the University of La Serena and later at our Toki School of Arts and Music, Valeria has shared her passion and knowledge. Her work as an organizer of the Classical Music Concert Series "Active Musicians uniting traditions" demonstrates her commitment to promoting classical music on Rapa Nui. Alongside Mahani Teave, she has created a repertoire of four-hand music that has resonated in various venues and media. Valeria Prado is a beacon of classical music in the region and a testament to the power of music to unite cultures and enrich lives.
Alejandro Arévalo
He is a versatile musician and educator committed to music and music education. His training includes a degree as a Concert Pianist from the Izidor Handler Conservatory in Viña del Mar, a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Playa Ancha in Valparaíso, and a Master's degree in Arts with a mention in composition from the University of Chile.
Throughout his career, Alejandro has combined musical creation and teaching, standing out for his focus on social and educational spaces. He has worked as a teacher in various institutions, including the University of Valparaíso, where he taught functional piano, classical piano, and popular piano classes, as well as creating courses such as "Piano Theory" and the "Contemporary Music Workshop". His commitment to music is also reflected in his work as director and composer of the "Big Band" of the Illustrious Municipality of San Felipe.
In addition to his work in formal education, Alejandro founded his own music academy in San Felipe, where he offered a variety of music courses and cultivated musical art in the community. His passion for music and commitment to teaching have led him to collaborate with numerous institutions and projects, from music workshops for preschoolers to piano classes at the Toki School of Music and Arts in Rapa Nui. His extensive career and experience demonstrate his dedication to music and his impact on people's musical education.
Carlos Campusano
He is a prominent percussionist with extensive experience in his field. In terms of his artistic career, Carlos Alberto Campusano Aguilar is a talented and versatile musician who has participated in various events and festivals in Chile and abroad, such as the Rockódromo Music Festival, the FIIS Festival in Viña del Mar, the Island of Groix Film Festival, and the Tāpati Rapa Nui Festival, among others. He has been part of groups and artists from Rapa Nui as a percussionist for Hau Moana, Amahiro, Yoyo Tuki, Po Kari Kari, Mata Mota, and others.
Carlos ha impartido talleres de percusión en diversas instituciones, como la Escuela Lorenzo Baeza Vega de Isla de Pascua y la Universidad de Playa Ancha de Ciencias de la Educación. En estos talleres, ha enseñado técnicas de percusión polinésica rapanui y ha fomentado el uso de materiales reciclados en la construcción de instrumentos. Su pasión por la música polinésica rapa nui y su habilidad en la percusión lo convierten en un artista de gran calidad y en un referente en su campo que suma un increíble conocimiento en sus cátedras de percusión en nuestra Escuela de Música y las Artes Toki.

María Victoria Tepano Pate
Es una destacada profesional cuyo compromiso con la cultura y la educación en la isla de Pascua ha dejado una huella significativa. Con una sólida formación académica y una pasión por su herencia cultural, María Victoria ha contribuido de manera significativa al fortalecimiento y la promoción de la cultura Rapa Nui.
Sus antecedentes académicos incluyen una educación de enseñanza básica en la Escuela E-459 de la isla de Pascua y la educación secundaria en el Liceo de Coronel en la Octava Región de Concepción. Más tarde, en la Universidad de Concepción, se especializó en "Danzas Tradicionales Chilenas" y participó en seminarios pedagógicos. Además, en la Escuela Nacional del Folklore, adquirió conocimientos fundamentales en "Metodología de la Investigación e Identidad Cultural", "Panorama del Folklore" y "Puesta en Escena del Material Folklórico".
María Victoria ha desempeñado roles cruciales como docente en diversas instituciones, incluyendo la Escuela Nacional del Folklore y la Universidad de Concepción, donde impartió talleres de Danzas Rapa Nui. También ha contribuido a la Universidad del Mar y la Universidad Arturo Prat de Iquique, así como a proyectos auspiciados por la Municipalidad de Rapa Nui y el colegio San Sebastián de Akivi, donde enseñó "Lengua y Cultura Rapa Nui". Su liderazgo en nuestra Escuela de Música y las Artes Toki como directora del área tradicional y su rol como maestra de Cantos Ancestrales Re ‘o Riu son ejemplos de su profundo compromiso con la cultura Rapa Nui.
Actualmente, María Victoria se desempeña como facilitadora cultural para personeros de la Unesco y el Mineduc, desempeñando un papel clave en el levantamiento de encuestas lingüísticas. Además, es una guía cultural que brinda información patrimonial a jardines infantiles y establecimientos educacionales. Su trabajo incluye la implementación de programas para fortalecer la cultura tradicional, como el programa "Reforcemos nuestra cultura tradicional a través de la comunidad escolar" (Fondart) y el taller "Revitalización de la Lengua Rapa Nui denominado Ki Haka Puai Tatou Re’o a roto i te ngapoki Hare Hapi” (Conadi). Su labor es esencial para el reforzamiento de la lengua Rapa Nui entre los trabajadores institucionales, destacando su dedicación a preservar y enriquecer la herencia cultural de la isla de Pascua.
