Transparency
As members of the Solidarity Organizations Community since 2014, we are required each year to submit our Social FECU Report, a standardized accountability and financial reporting tool for nonprofit organizations. For many years, this report was audited by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), who oversaw our submissions from the beginning of our membership until 2022. Starting in 2023, due to the growth of COS member organizations and PwC’s limited capacity to review all reports, the consultancy shifted to a random-review model, auditing only a selection of organizations each year. In response, we created the Toki Audit Committee, made up of volunteer parents and guardians, to review our annual report in years when PwC is unable to do so.
Having this document allows us to standardize best practices, strengthen management and self-evaluation, and comply with legal, financial, and public disclosure requirements. It is also a key tool for maintaining transparency with donors, partner organizations, and the broader community regarding how resources are used.
