This program was of great importance, as it sought local solutions to address the\nhigh cost of transporting food from the mainland, through the recovery of native\nspecies and the acquisition of new knowledge in cultivation techniques.<\/p>\n
In this context, Toki NGO worked on combining ancestral techniques with cutting-\nedge agricultural technologies to increase food production and improve quality in a\nmore efficient way.<\/p>\n
La “Granja Org\u00e1nica de Toki” tuvo un fuerte enfoque educativo, recibiendo a diversos colegios y brigadistas y desarrollando capacitaciones para la comunidad. El foco de la ense\u00f1anza estaba en la asesor\u00eda agroecol\u00f3gica, el manejo de cultivos y la calidad de los productos locales, junto con la creaci\u00f3n de un banco de semillas.<\/p>\n
El programa fue impulsado por Juan Haoa y asesorado por el agro-ec\u00f3logo Juan Carlos Cabrera. Adem\u00e1s, la Red de Educaci\u00f3n Ambiental estuvo presente para fortalecer y promover su desarrollo en diversas etapas.
