LEARN MORE ABOUT NGO Toki

We have been giving free classes to children and adolescents since 2012 and we currently have more than 100 students.

We built the first totally self-sustainable School of Music in Latin America and Oceania and we are working arduously to promote environmental education and change.

We are taking action to revive the Rapanui language which is “in danger of extinction”. Currently only 1,340 Rapanui- 19% of the total ethnic group- speak the language.

OUR OBJECTIVESProtect the Rapa Nui Cultural Legacy

Toki is a non-profit organization whose MISSION is to actively stimulate and transmit the Rapanui cosmo vision in an active and participative way in distinct areas of development through a Center of Integral Development which contributes to the empowerment of the Rapanui society with a focus on community and sustainability, and all with the help of a multi-disciplined team of local professionals and the collaboration of specialists from Chile and abroad.
We envision our NGO as an organization that finds answers to the needs and realities of our island, using both ancestral wisdom and new technology and always considering sustainable development.  We seek to develop a model of integral formation that becomes a referent on a local, national, and international level to rescue the patrimony, aid the community, and cultivate a society based on respect and harmony.
  • The commitment of all our human team
  • Respect for the culture and idiosyncrasies and the diversity of the people who work with us, understanding and helping humans to become integral beings
  • The integration of family and community
  • Excellence in teaching and work done
  • Collaboration and teamwork in teaching, as in everything else
  • Gratuity of the School of Music and the Arts: We offer free classes to permit every child and adolescent the opportunity of becoming part of our school and to avoid any type of differentiation between students. We give priority to talent and dedication over the social-economic level of the student.

How do we do it?
