The school was built on land donated to Toki by Enrique Icka, co-founder, engineer in construction, and musician. It’s building is an Earthship, an innovative creation by American architect Michael Reynolds who traveled to Rapa Nui with a construction plan in the form of a flower which would later house Toki’s School of Music. It is open to the community and has planted the seeds of sustainability in construction on Rapa Nui.
